Ali Khan Tareen

Creative Director Ali Khan Tareen is a development professional with extensive experience of working with public and nonprofit sectors in Pakistan. He has worked with the government at policy planning and implementation levels. In the nonprofit sector, he has been responsible for designing, developing and managing development programs. He has also worked as a consultant with leading Pakistani and international organizations on various social sector projects. He has published in national and international journals/books and is a visiting fellow at various universities in Lahore. He holds a Development Studies PhD from The University of Melbourne.

Amna Kausar

Communication Manager Amna is Communication Officer/M&E Officer at TEF. After having graduated from Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore with a major in Environmental Science, she carries the vision of a cleaner and greener Pakistan. Before joining TEF, Amna worked for a year at an influential nonprofit organization. She plans to do her post-graduate studies in Environmental Policy and Management that will lead her to contribute in upgrading the state of environment in Pakistan and bring a change in both the government and private sector’s current lack of interest in Environmental Policy formulation. Amna assists in the delivery and documentation of programme interventions of TEF, monitoring and evaluation activities for various projects and is also responsible for handling external and internal communication matters.

Muhammad Ilyas

AccountantIlyas is the Accountant who is responsible for managing and maintaining financial records of the LSRI. He keenly contributes in the office administration wing as well. Ilyas holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the Bahauddin Zakariya University. He is currently pursuing M.Com degree from Punjab College, Lahore

Shahid Rana

Chief Financial OfficerShahid Rana was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Tareen Education Foundation in July 2012. He has over 30 years’ experience of working in senior positions with various large organizations in UK and Pakistan. He graduated in commerce from Punjab University Lahore and holds an MBA degree from Leeds Business School, Metropolitan University of Leeds in England.

Anum Asif

Research AssociateA Research Associate possessing a vast background in research methodologies and their implementation. Her experience ranges from gathering research data from the field to compiling reports, presenting results and monitoring of progress. Anum graduated from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) in Anthropology and Sociology with an aim to join the development sector of Pakistan for the growth of humanity.

Research Associate Mehak completed her Bachelors in Finance and Environmental Policies from Lahore School of Economics after which she worked for a year with a local non-profit organization. Her scope of work evolved around a USAID project aimed at addressing the multi-dimensional challenges faced by survivors of Gender Based Violence. She has had traineeship experience with organizations like KASHF Foundation, WWF Pakistan and CARE Foundation and travelled to Turkey for a developmental traineeship with AIESEC Izmir. She carries a passion for pursuing a career in the development sector, specifically the education sector, and plans to complete her post-graduate studies in Developmental Studies. Her work at TEF involves assisting in the conceptualization, designing and implementation of programme interventions by TEF.

Assistant Programme OfficerYaqoob is responsible for implementation of programme strategies such as, personnel management, teachers training, sports and health activities as Assistant Programme Officer. He carries experience in working with National Rural Support Programme (NRSP) as a Social Organiser. He has an M.Com degree in Finance.
